Alex Nealon

Associate

Alex graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with a focus on corporate and intellectual property law. He started his career working in the Capital Markets division of the Washington DC office of the a Wall Street firm. Throughout law school and his legal career, Alex has focused his efforts on addressing novel legal issues in the video game and interactive entertainment industry, including advising video game companies on regulations and procedures to follow in complex corporate transactions.

Prior to joining us at IE Law Group, Alex, who was born and raised in South Florida, received his Master of Laws in Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law from the University of Miami School of Law. There he further expanded his knowledge and expertise on cutting edge issues in the entertainment industry and continued to expand his practice.

While in law school, Alex served as Vice President of the Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance as well as a board member on the Georgetown Law Technology Review. Additionally, Alex worked as a student advocate for the Intellectual Property and Information Policy Law Clinic at Georgetown University Law Center, which provided him with valuable client work experience and afforded him the opportunity to truly become a subject matter expert in highly relevant areas of law. Entertainment law and its intersection with the video game industry has been a long-time passion of Alex’s and his wealth of experience and insight into the industry is a valuable asset being brought to the IE Law Team.

In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing video and card games, watching anime, creating content on Twitch.tv, overanalyzing novel legal issues, as well as a newfound interest in comic books and graphic novels as well as other older-form and retro content.
